Jessica Chastain and Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo, her husband, spent Christmas with their families together in the Alps in Cortina D’Ampezzo. This Christmas in Italy turned out to be an awkward one.
While attending Jimmy Kimmel’s show, the star shared that her parents are from California. Her husband is from Veneto (Italy). Jessica’s family does not speak Italian and Luca’s family does not speak English a lot. Therefore, Christmas turned out to be a very quiet holiday this year for them. Despite this, they still had a lot of food… and pointing.
Besides, Americans eat in about one hour, but when Chastain went to Italy, she found out that meals last for 3-4 hours. She experienced Sunday brunch that lasted from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. It was strange to the star that when she ate one plate her husband’s mother gave her another plate and after the second plate was done, she put more food into her daughter-in-law’s plate.
Jessica is a vegan and her mother-in-law cannot understand this.
