At the age of 61, the soloist of the Swedish band Roxette Marie Fredriksson died.
Also, the death of Fredriksson was confirmed by her manager Marie Dimberg.
“With great sadness, we must announce that one of our greatest and most beloved artists has left. Marie Fredriksson died in the apartment on the morning of December 9 from her previous illness,” she said in a press release.
In 2002, the singer was diagnosed with brain cancer.
Fredriksson has left her husband Michael Boles and two children, Josephine (26 years old) and Oscar (23 years old).
