Emma Watson wanted to leave "Harry Potter"

During the filming of the Harry Potter 20th Anniversary special episode: Return to Hogwarts, Emma Watson, who played Hermione in the movies, admitted that at one time she wanted to leave Harry Potter.

While filming an HBO Max special episode of Harry Potter, actress Emma Watson revealed that at one point, she seriously considered leaving the franchise and giving up her role as Hermione Granger. The spinoff and fifth Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix movie director also confirmed that Watson wanted to stop making movies.

"I think I was scared. I don't know if you've ever felt like things have reached a tipping point where you think, 'This is forever.' It was around the time of the Order of the Phoenix, when things started getting edgy for all of us," Emma Watson stated.

Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts (HBO) will premiere on January 1, 2022.
