British musician Ed Sheeran has announced that he is about to take a break from work and social media "until it's time to return."
The singer noted that he would "take a break to travel, write and read," and would return with new music "when the time was right." Since 2007, he says, everything has been going non-stop, so "it's time to go outside and see the world."
He promised to come back when he "had a little more time to live and had something to write about."
Sheeran made his statement at the end of the year, which was hugely successful for his career. He was, in particular, recognized by the British artist of the decade.
