Thank you to the Cheesy Waffles Project for the golf lesson ????️ Think we might need to come back for more... The Cheesy Waffles Project does incredible work providing children, young people and adults with additional needs aged 7 to 35 from across County Durham with the skills and independence they need to transition to a happy and healthy adulthood. They receive support from The Key, a youth charity which works collaboratively with organisations across the North East of England to inspire belief in young people and empower them to achieve their full potential. The Key was one of twenty-six charities chosen by The Duke and Duchess in 2011 to benefit from donations made to their Royal Wedding Charitable Gift Fund.

Sustainable farm tour ???????????? Located in Darlington, these two amazing owners of a fifth-generational family-run farm, were able to take us through the ins and outs of how they’re working toward the UK’s 2050 net-zero target. Using techniques such as grass monitoring, land rotation and feed sampling to help improve productivity and ensure they are able to give back to the environment. Even the tractors got a test run!

“This Anzac Day, Catherine and I join Australians and New Zealanders across the world to remember and honour the service men and women of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. Though many will still be unable to come together in person this year, we are heartened in the knowledge that Australians and New Zealanders will continue to commemorate those who have given so much for our freedoms.” Ahead of the weekend’s commemorative events, The Duke sent a message to mark #AnzacDay to the New Zealand and Australian High Commissions in London.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Funeral procession travels from the Quadrangle of Windsor Castle to St George’s Chapel — with the coffin carried by a Land Rover designed by The Duke, and accompanied on its journey by representatives of the Armed Forces, members of THe Royal Family and Her Majesty The Queen. As the nation fell silent in memory of The Duke of Edinburgh, the @royalmarines Bearing Party paused on the West Steps, which was lined by members of the Household Cavalry.   The Duke’s own Admiral of the Fleet Naval Cap and his Sword, given to him by King George VI, rested on the coffin.
